Break and Enter
DeMelo Heathcote is experienced in representing clients on break and enter charges. In order to be convicted of a break and enter offence, the Crown must prove that you unlawfully entered a building and committed an offence (such as theft) or had the intention to commit an offence.
Even if you did not actually enter the building, but you knowingly acted as a lookout or a getaway driver, you could be found guilty of breaking and entering.
Breaking and entering into someone’s home — a “dwelling house” — is seen as an aggravating factor and could result in higher penalties. Contact us for a free consultation.
Every consultation is free, confidential — and judgment-free.
