Impaired Driving / Over 80 (“DUI”)

We handle impaired driving matters involving alcohol, drugs, or both. There are two main charges: operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg in 100 mL of blood — typically following breathalyzer results — and impaired driving, which does not require test results at all.

For impaired driving, circumstantial evidence such as erratic driving, bloodshot eyes, the odour of alcohol, a flushed face, or slurred speech may be enough. The charges can be laid separately or together.
